A few weeks before we moved Sadie and I took a trip out to Texas to visit Ryan's parents and spent a fun week exploring their new town and enjoying the luxuries of their wonderful new house! We had such a great time. Sadie absolutely loved playing with Buffy their little dog. She'd follow her around all day patting her, barking at her, laying beside her, poking her nose, and tickling her. Buffy tolerated her, but I'm afraid she was probably glad when this overactive toddler left her to her solitude.
Sorry there won't be many pictures to this post they are all loaded on the other computer and we can't get internet on that one - my connection is sketchy at best as it is.
After our fun trip it was back home to alot of packing, cleaning, and sewing. I made some curtains for a friend of Ryans just before we moved that turned into a huge project and I was very glad when I had the finished project ready to hand over and I could put my energies into packing up the house. It was so sad leaving that house! It was a bit of a whirlwind leaving. We spend one full day packing up the truck and barely fit everything into our huge truck with the help of our good friends Ryan Johnson and David Luke. Definitely couldn't have done it without their big muscles.
The drive went smoothly with the help of my parents. We took a detour to visit my brother Jake, Mandy and cute little Claire. They had just moved into a new house in a small town in Nebraska. Their house is darling and has so much fun potential! It was so good seeing them. After a days reprieve we hopped back into our cars for another day of driving. We arrived in Denver in chipper spirits and were welcomed home to our new apartment where we planned to spend the next three months or so.
Sadie and I spent the first week here in Denver with Ryan and then headed out to Utah and Idaho for a family reunion with my side of the family. Unfortunately Ryan had to work and couldn't join us for all the fun. Once I get pictures I'll have to make a post dedicated to that fun trip. We had so much fun camping, hanging out with family we hadn't seen in nearly forever, biking, fishing, and lounging around the cabin.
While we were gone Ryan kept busy camping by himself, biking and most importantly buying us a house! Yes that's right, he bought a house I'd never even seen. I know, I know. What a trusting, loving, devoted wife I am. It's true. We got home last night and today got to go see our new house and he did good! I love it. It blows me away just how much house you can get out here for your money.
