even more walking!

okay, we couldn't get enough of this kid tonight. She was being so fun with her walking so of course I have to put up some of my favorite pictures.

this is her favorite place to play

grandma Julie got her this chair and she LOVES it. It sings to her, talks to her, reads her a book, lights up.....she can't get enough of it.
she started this funny face tonight. Everytime we told her to smile she'd crinkle up her face and squint her eyes like this. makes me want to go pinch those cheeks.

here she is!!

We don't have a video camera so this is the best we can get of the walking!! Tonight she was doing so good, she was taking lots of steps. She's going to be walking for real in no time.

First steps

Sadie took her very first unassisted steps yesterday! I was talking to Annie when it happened I stood her in the middle of the room and she started walking back towards me I couldn't believe it! I think she took maybe 3 or 4 steps. The rest of the day she was trying to do it again and again, but could only manage 1 step at a time. It was so dang cute! We babysat a friends little girl last night that is just a few days older than Sadie. It was so much fun to watch those two. Sadie was SO excited to have another little person her size there. She was jabbering to her all night. She would look at her and then chatter, chatter, chatter....give her a toy....chatter, chatter, chatter....give her a different toy. The only thing was her little friend was a little shy so it was just a one sided conversation but she was definately telling her lots and lots.

On another note, I finally got some professional pictures taken of my nursing covers so now I can post them all on Etsy and they won't look so "homemade". I think I'll start posting one every day or two so I always have one at the top of the list. Here's the link http://www.sadiebaby.etsy.com/ My shop is still very bare but give it a week and there should be some other fun ones up.

Here's a little sampling of my new pictures.

craft show attempt #2

I just got back from the craft show at Holy Hill and am not completely disappointed but not elated at selling hundreds of nursing covers either so really I can't complain. I actually sold more than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. The morning started off so cold. I thought maybe it'd be a little chilly, but it was way more than chilly, it was darn right frigid. I think I stopped shivering for only an hour or so in the afternoon when I walked around to check out the other booths. I was shivering so much my neck muscles are so sore now. I brought my quilt project with me and sat and quilted and chatted pretty much all day. My thumb is feeling pretty sore. All in all it was a fun day, I don't think I'll be doing anymore craft shows anytime soon, but I had fun doing it. I found a cute wooden train for Sadie. I'm glad I came home with a souvenir that made my day.

Chicago

This past weekend we made a trip down to Chicago with David and Jodee Luke and had such a fun time walking all over downtown and shopping. Two of my favorite things. We drove down friday after the boys got home from work around noon, they had a half day. It made for a nice long weekend.

Apparently the Chicago traffic was a little too much for David. The food was what I was most looking forward and it didn't let me down. We had deep dish Chicago pizza friday night that was fabulous.

The huge face fountains, always a favorite with us. The faces look around for a few minutes and then ever so often they spout water from their mouths and all the kids run and play in it. It's a fun fountain, I'm sure Sadie would have loved to crawl around in it, but she had crashed in her stroller by this time.

Saturday we spent the morning lounging in the hotel room while Sadie took a nap. That nap had to last her the whole day and thankfully it did. She was a happy little girl the whole day. She loves being out and about. After the nap we wandered around town some more. At some lunch, got some ice cream... We were planning on seeing the science museum at the end of the day before we went home, but by the time we'd spend the whole day walking around we were all pooped and decided to call it a day. On our way home, we stopped at the Prime Outlet mall, for a little more shopping to top it all off. That outlet mall is really quite a good one. It was a first trip for the Donohues, but definately not the last. We couldn't spend quite as much time as we wanted to there because the BYU game was anxiously awaiting us at home, that and the fact that Sadie was wired from only one nap and it was definately time for bed.

The whole weekend was very fun and exciting, sad its over. Back to a regular week.
