keeping me up at night

This is the beginnings of my latest project.  A project I am so stinking excited about I can hardly sleep at night.   What is it might you ask….

The early stages of my dream sewing room.  I’m finally giving my sewing room the up-do it has been longing for for years.  I have big plans for this room.  It’s pretty much going to be the coolest room in the house and the place we’re all going to want to hang out daily.  Sadie especially loves spending time with me in my sewing room.  She’s the biggest crafter I know.  I want to have a space for her and Pipes to get their craft on.  We need some big time organization for her crafting supplies/projects as well as all of my sewing stuff.  I wish I could just snap my fingers and have the images in my head magically appear in our new sewing room.  I guess that would take out the fun of the hunt and the even sweeter part, the finds. 

This turquois dresser is the first purchased piece meant for storage of all kinds, it was such a lucky find, I didn’t even have to paint it and it fits in just perfectly with my vision.  I’m now on the hunt for a fabulous cutting table.  Nothing less will do.  I’m expecting to have to do a lot of refinishing of furniture before this room is finished.  I’ve been spending my nights scouring craigslist searching for my perfect cutting table, an antique buffet, perhaps an old dresser….we’ll see.  I have a feeling this will be a long long process to collect all the things I’m dreaming about in this room. 

This studio is my inspiration.  So, so beautiful. 

looking at this just makes me happy. 

Once my room starts coming together I’ll add updates, hopefully it’s not months and months down the road!
