Projecting

I have definitely had the project bug lately.  I can’t stop myself.  Every day I am thinking of something new I can sew or repurpose.  Here’s the projects of the last few weeks.

One of my personal favorites, the knob board.  I bought most of the knobs on Anthropologie clearance and then one at Hobby Lobby.  I borrowed a router from a friend and Ryan fancied up the edges then we painted and distressed it.  I could use probably 5 more of these in my house.  I love hanging things.

Ruffle skirt, I sewed this with a friend from this tutorial had so much fun in the process!  I really love ruffling things.

Made Sadie some school pants out of some old linen pants of mine.

And made a school sweater for Sadie out of an old sweater of mine.  Sadie loves it when I make her clothes, I hope this lasts forever, I had to laugh though she came home from school after her first day of wearing it and said, I told Ms. Ciccarelli you made my shirt and she looked at my tag, laughed and said, no she didn’t it says Banana Republic. Sadie didn’t know what to say to that… she couldn’t dispute a tag.

This coming week I will most likely be rummaging through more old bags of clothes to see what else I can come up with.  Waste not want not.  I’m sure I could furbish their whole wardrobes from existing clothes in our house if only I had that much time.

You are so stinkin crafty I can hardly stand it. I wish some of it would rub off onto me. Love the board... and thanks for figuring out how to work the router for us!

You are amazing Miriam! Where did you learn to sew?! Does your Mom sew? You happen to be going to Dallas the end of March? We are going the 21st-28th. Hope you're doing well!
