blast from the past
Thanksgiving this year was a weekend packed full of all kinds of fun including something that brought us all back to many happy childhood past times. LEGOS! We dug out the big bucket and got right down to the business of building. There’s no messing around when it comes to Legoing. It’s serious business when you’re digging for pieces and kids don’t even think of touching the masterpieces. The sound of shuffling legos as they’re dug through brought back so many memories of hours and hours on our knees building gas stations, houses, cities, space stations, pirate ships and so many more creations.
Piper’s creation….I think she’s a “people person”.
Mark demonstrating the true Lego stance.
Ryan’s masterpiece. MASTERPIECE. He’s just a little proud of this truck. No instructions, purely creative ingenuity.
and don’t forget the trailer and go cart.
Finn and Alice are only 2 weeks apart. I could squeeze and love these babies all day.
Mom broke her arm just a week before Thanksgiving the kids thought it was the coolest to decorate her cast beautifully.
You diggin’ Ryan’s new look?? I totally am! Ryan doesn’t do things half heartedly, he is ALL cowboy. Don’t be surprised if we buy the lots behind our house, build a barn and start ranching. Yee haw!
Perhaps one of my very favorite highlights from the trip was taking Sadie and Claire to Alta and skiing on the REAL mountain! These two were so awesome. It was their first time real skiing and I was expecting more hesitancy, but these girls had no fear. They were grinning from ear to ear and were so proud of themselves for skiing all by themselves. It made my heart sing to see my little Sadie skiing all by herself. She took a good spill and came up laughing saying she almost got a snow mustache. I can’t wait to take her more and watch my little skier blossom. If only we lived 15 minutes from the slopes….

fun pics
You guys always look like you have so much fun when your family gets together. I remember playing with legos while watching President George W Bush win the election at your house....remember that?
And here in Vermont, starting in Kindergarten the kids get out of school early and go skiing. How funny is that? I think Kate is going to be a better skier than both her parents in no time! (but that isn't saying much!)
