Quilting
Last year I found this great quilt pattern by Valerie Wells that I just fell in love with. I’ve been dying to make them for the girls beds ever since. I got crackin a few weeks ago and they are now done! I should make some cute pillow shams for their beds too, but those kind of drive me crazy on Sadie’s beds because the decorative pillow always ends up on the floor never on the bed. But how much cuter would they be with it!! I’m sure I’ll give in just for the fun of it.
The girls were so excited for their quilts! I love that they love all of our fun creations. Some of my favorite times with them are in my sewing room. Sadie is always my special helper with the pins, or she’s sewing buttons onto her creations, making “dresses” out of my scraps, coloring pictures, while Piper is building towers with my thread spools and running around in her princess dress. I love that Sadie always has these great visions of beautiful dresses and she wants us to make them all. In her mind we can make ANYTHING.
I love the heritage a quilt leaves. I want these quilts to be ones that they take with them when they get married and become a part of their own homes to snuggle with and remember the fun times we had sewing together.

Miriam! You are amazing! I love the quilts. We still need to get together and do a sewing project or just let the kids play!
Yes Chelsea we do! I will sew any day with you! I haven't seen you guys in forever, lets get together soon.
Miriam, they turned out so so great! I really love them! I'm putting in an order for 2 more. ;) What a fun hobby to have. This gets me thinking that I should take my sewing machine out of its box. Not that I'd know what to do next, but that would be some sort of step.
so cute miriam!!! makes me want to get crackin' on making mine.....someday :)
Those are so cute Miriam! I wishes we lived closer so you could teach me how to sew better...and so we could just hang out!
