Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year. We went to Utah to spend it with my side. The girls and I flew down extra early and then Ryan drove up on Christmas Eve. We got to spend a lot of time with Mom and Dad and were so glad Mark came up to stay the whole time. It was fun, relaxing, we played lots of games and overall just had a great time.

Piper was so funny she opened her present put on her jammies then immediately took them off and started frantically trying to open all the rest of the presents. Apparently she thought all the presents were filled with jammies just for her.

She was finally distracted with her froggy jammies.

We were so excited when Ryan finally joined the party Christmas eve. He had been missed by all.

The much anticipated pillow pet. I don’t think Sadie has ever wanted anything as bad as she wanted this pillow pet.

One of my favorite things we did was go skiing. It ended up just being us siblings while our spouses watched the kiddos. I swear everyone was invited….somehow it just ended up that way. It was such a fun day. It’s just too bad we don’t go more often a day skiing with the family is one of my very favorite things. Another day we decided to take the kids skiing for their very first times. We got our skis rented and went up to Snow Bird only to find that they were closing down the resort for a few hours for avalanche control so we headed back down to Mom and Dads and found a little trail that worked just as well. The kids LOVED it and I was so surprised at how well they all did.

Nana was pretty popular with her hot cocoa. Piper didn’t want to leave her side.

Just before the weather turned on us, Piper had her turn on the skis.

It seems these were the only two days we whipped out our cameras, but we had such a great time and did lots of fun things. I’m so glad we could stay so long.

Such a fun Christmas! Little feisty naked Pipes cracks me up. And how cute to take your kiddos skiing. Tom and I have never even been skiing ourselves. How lame are we? Glad you guys had a fun time.

I also love Sadie's quote below. She is a hoot!
