why is it so hard to find cute fabric locally?
We all know they're out there because we've glimpsed them on the internet or seen them enviously on others, but why are they so hard to come across for a deal! (emphasis on deal).
Of course you can always find them on the internet, but really I love to see and hold them so much more when picking them out. quite the dilema. A friend has informed me there are some shops that carry a small selection out in Boulder....not too far away, granted, but not so convenient either.
The twirl skirt and other skirt I made, I didn't have a pattern for. I got some tips from a friend for the twirl skirt-thanks kristen!- and then just figured the rest out. The twirl skirt you pretty much just do a circle inside of a bigger circle. Not too hard and you just make the circle the length you want it. It does take some figuring to get a good circle. The other two skirts (I made Piper a matching skirt to the one with orange trim) I looked at an old tiered skirt of Sadie's to get an idea of how to do that one and then came up with my own measurements. If anyone wants the actual measurements to give it a shot, just give me a call or email me. I'd be glad to help!

Ok, you are SO coming over and giving me a personal skirt lesson! :) I'm skeered to try it without a pattern! I love the way the twirl skirt turned out, and that fabric is to die for!
I hear you on shopping for fabric! If you ever want to go fabric shop hopping, let me know! I know a couple other girls in the ward that would be interested, we could make it a kid-free party! The bummer is the deal part, seems like it's cheaper online! boo!
I'm up for a kid-free party! Let's go!
Lets totally do that!
I really want to go to this place downtown that supposedly offers cute, modern fabrics...and I so love the skirts that you've made...I would love to make one!
Its like you are speaking chinese, have no idea about any of it! sorry!
