Quilting like crazy

Our stake has been doing this huge quilting project where every ward is supposed to make 20 quilts that will all go to humanitarian aid, wherever that may be. I'm in charge of our wards quilting group and we've been sewing like crazy ladies for the past little while, but this week kicked it up to a whole new level of craziness. (the quilts all need to be done by tomorrow). This pictures is just a speckling of all the wonderful quilts we've made! My fingers are sore, my back is aching, but look how beautiful they are! I love alot of things, but I think one of my favorite things is creating something and then admiring your handiwork. What a wonderful feeling. I think I'm on some kind of sewing high this week. more projects please! I've been working on a big BYU quilt for Ryan and it is slowing coming together. He thinks his quilt is getting the shaft behind all of these other quilts.....and really it's probably true.

This is the fabric for the BYU quilt. It's not your traditional BYU quilt, more of a vintage style one. It is all done in 2" squares and I've made a big Y out of the four blue prints and then everything around the Y are the other fabrics randomly placed. It's looking great so far, but it has a ways to go.
Our house is on the market and we are getting more and more excited about our move everyday. Ryan finished his last day at Kohls on Tuesday so the last two days we've had him home during the day. It's been fun and nice to be able to get some things in order for the move. Every night we check out houses in Denver online and I must say, it will be SO nice to be able to buy a house and not have to do fix it all up before it feels like home!
